WHO ARE PROSUMERS ?
A Prosumer, short for Professional Consumer, is a more educated and aware consumer that may require more advanced features than standard consumers. But with the advent of Social Media, Prosumers now are “product and brand advocates.” Rather than just “Using” products and experiencing “brands“, people are becoming the voices of those products and brands. This shift in power is significantly impacting the success or failure of companies, products, and brands, particularly through their involvement on the the web.
Prosumers are the online influencers and leaders that marketers must acknowledge, respect and develop relationships with so that their brands and products thrive !
