History’s biggest dumping of breached data occurred in mid-December which included over 770 million e-mail addresses and passwords that were exposed to a third party. Google, as a part of its regular ritual of providing solutions, has come up with a new Chrome extension: ‘Google Password Checkup – Extension in Chrome.’ With this extension, Google does not store any data and yet, sends alerts when there is a potential breach in security. Install the Password Checker on Chrome and an icon will appear on the browser bar. This will ensure password security by checking for your password through hacked databases, and sending you alerts in case you need to change your password.
