Facebook recently announced the merging of Messenger and Facebook Stories to make them accessible on both the platforms. This will help Facebook compete with Snapchat stories by presenting a coherent stories feature. However, the individual camera frames will be different depending on the platform you use.

With the added feature of “stories for groups” or events on Facebook, users who are part of a group or interested in an event can add to the collective story, pending the admin’s permission. This is a great feature to compete against the custom stories feature introduced by Snapchat.
