As the name suggests, the Zink Zero Ink technology prints photographs without using any sort of cartridge or ink. Surprised? Well, the technology was developed by Zink Imaging and is now used widely in pocket printers by companies like HP and in Polaroid cameras.

The secret here is the special paper made from an advanced composite material. The polymer coating on the surface is embedded with cyan, yellow, and magenta crystals. Different colored crystals respond to different temperatures. Therefore, when you print, the crystals are activated depending on the colors in the picture, and Voila, you have an instant print that is now a permanent memory.
