Die-cuts are areas of any design that are partially or totally cut, shaped, or cut-out in many shapes. The “die” is a metallic blade that punches out the required shape. This activity is usually done after printing as part of the finishing process. These are also known as cut-outs.

The concept of Die Cuts is to visually & physically showcase the creative idea of a design. Die-cuts can be simple slits to hold business cards or can form the basis of comprehensive marketing collateral.

Printers generally have standard dies for common cuts but you also create customized dies.
