How important is Visual Hierarchy in Graphic Design?
Immensely! Visual hierarchy is the structure of content in a particular design. The final purpose of a design is to communicate ideas visually to a particular set of audience. When you’re working with diverse graphic elements like fonts, pictures, colours, or icons, visual hierarchy is essential to get the message across clearly as it will help decide which elements have the most focus.
Some sure-shot tips to keep in mind while deciding your visuals hierarchy:
Divide your content into Title, Subtitle and Body Copy (Or any other terminology)
Use icons and play with their size
Color your text to express your design’s theme
Mix it up with fonts to represent different hierarchy levels
Use contrast to make the text stand out.
